The Team Leader program is based on the competencies outlined in the Structure Firefighters Competency and Training Playbook including both Exterior Operations Level Team Leader and Interior Operations Level Team Leader
After completing this program, the Fire Fighter shall be able to discuss how the Team Leader works with the Playbook and can demonstrate or describe the Team Leader requirements of the program objectives.
The program is a requirement of any firefighter who finds, or may find, themselves in the position of team leader. This program is not a Company Officer specific program, but rather an individual functional team leader. This program should be directed at Firefighters who have already completed the Exterior or Interior Level Firefighter Training.
16 Hours. This program is designed to be delivered over two (2) days. Some pre-reading may be assigned in advance of the program.
The program is designed to be delivered in a classroom environment, on site at the client’s location.
This program, upon successful evaluation, includes a Certificate of Completion.

This Program is designed to instill or enhance the skills of the Sr. FF and Company Officers who may find themselves in the Command role. This program focuses on the basic fundamentals of the first five minutes including the On Scene Report, Size Up, Command and Accountability and the Initial Strategies and Tactics. Gain the confidence to control a scene through classroom workshops and field exercises.
This program is targets to any Sr. Fire Fighter, Company Officer or Chief Officers who find themselves in Command Roles of Incidents. This Program will cover the routine to complex incidents and the expanding ICS system required to manage them.

This Program is designed to instill or enhance the skills of the Firefighter and Experienced Driver / Operator. This program focuses on the basic fundamentals of Pump Operations and Fire Ground Water Supply. Focus is placed on recognizing and experiencing capacities and limitations of the pump. This program will benefit both the new and the experienced operator.
This program will benefit both the new and the experienced operator. Program delivery is tailored to push each student to the limits of their abilities and ensure each student learns something through the process.
This program combines both theory and practical lessons to be delivered at the clients location utilizing their own unique apparatus.

This program is based on the fundamentals outlined in IFSTA Essentials of Firefighting – 7th Edition. This program is also based on content from NFPA 1931: Standard for Manufacturer’s Design of Fire Department Ground Ladders (2020 Edition) and NFPA 1932: Standard on Use, Maintenance, and Service Testing of In-Service Fire Department Ground Ladders (2020 Edition) and applicable WorkSafeBC Regulations.
This Program is designed to instill or enhance the skills of all Firefighters. This program builds upon the basic foundations of Ground Ladders and engages Firefighters to “Think Outside the Box”. Students will be challenged to embrace new techniques and tactics and encouraged to make Ground Ladders a part of their everyday training.
This program is targeting all levels, however this program may be even more beneficial to Sr. Firefighters and Company Officers who are providing training to their own Firefighters and Recruits. Each Student will leave with some take away skills to share in their own departments.

The Basic Firefighter Training Program is designed to introduce individuals to the basic foundations of the Fire Service. Based on the competencies of NFPA 1001 and the Structure Firefighters Competency and Training Playbook including both Exterior Operations Level Firefighter and Interior Operations Level Firefighter.
After completing this program, the Fire Fighter will be familiar with all the basic foundations of Structural Firefighting. This program provides and introduction to several topics, including: Firefighter Health & Safety, Incident Command and Accountability System, Fire Ground Communications, PPE and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, Incident Scene Rehabilitation (REHAB), Building Construction, Basic Fire Behavior, Tactical Ventilation, Ground Ladders, Water Supply & Fitted Systems, Fire Streams and Fire Hose and Appliances.
The program is provided as a basic introduction to new members as well as a refresher for more senior members. This program is primarily designed and delivered for Industry Emergency Response Teams but can be adapted for any client’s specific needs.
